The Devil ‘s devices and ultimate goal
2 Corinthians 2:11 KJV
Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.
It’s often said that Christians tend to note and reference the presence of demons than that of The Holy Spirit and angelic beings.
This shouldn’t be actually, we should have confidence in The God in and with us than any other spiritual-being.
However, it is pertinent for us not to be ignorant of the devil’s devices. Remember, he is moving around hustling for whom to devour. {1 Peter 5:8}.
Yeah, he {the devil} is still very much active in and faithful to his calling——to kill, steal and destroy {John 10:10}.
The Devices of the Devil
The devil has a ministry and no one carries out a ministry without plans and strategies. So also, the devil being the god of this world {2 Corinthians 4:4} has devised some strategies for achieving his purpose {ultimate goal}.
Based on study, I’ve come to realize that there are 3 major facets of man’s life that the devil wage war against. They include;
- Finances.
- Family {Marriages or marital life}.
- Health.
Do a quick check, look into the lives of people around you, what can you identify as their problem?. [If you notice anything else aside from the above mentioned, please notify].
These three {3} has been the major reasons why humans run helter skelter. Many have swayed from the faith mainly because they either couldn’t cater for their personal and family needs or they couldn’t get cure from the Doctors and sorted out help from powers aside from God.
The Devil’s Ultimate goal
The devil on the other hand has a goal. Have you ever thought of what the devil will gain from a poor family?. How can one being sick make the devil happy?.
Neither delay in marriage nor lack of children will bring joy to hell.
What then is the devil’s aim for bringing these attacks —— The soul of man
The devil’s major aim for attacking your finances, marriage and health is your Soul.
3 John 1:2 KJV
Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.
Apostle Peter {with a godly mindset} wished his Spiritual children prosperity, good health and most importantly a prosperous soul.
On the other hand, the devil too wishes man prosperity and good health {Physical well-being} but in exchange for his soul.
He doesn’t have problem with you Living well, having a good Car, wife and children as long as your soul is not prospering.
So he attacks people’s finances and waits for them to come for help or get involved in iniquity.
Read what the psalmist says ——
For the rod of the wicked shall not rest upon the lot of the righteous; lest the righteous put forth their hands unto iniquity. {Psalm 125:3 KJV}.
He attacks one’s health and waits for him to curse God or seek for native cure. Also, he causes delay in marriage and make one marry just any one {even if its an unbeliever}. He makes some barren and makes them think they have no other options than to seek for a child from demonic sources. Kai 🙇♂️🙇♂️🙇♂️.
The Soul of man is the most expensive asset. Nothing worths up to it. Even the whole world cannot match up to it. Once a man bow down to worship or receive anything from the devil, he has just traded his soul.
The devil tried to make Jesus do the same when he tempted him as recorded in Matthew 4. But thank God Christ overcame.
Prevention and solution
1. Love God with all your heart
[15] Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
[16] For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.
The first and great commandment according to Matthew 22 says in quote ; “Love God with ALL thy heart, soul and mind ”.
Laying emphasis on ALL, once you love God with ALL your heart, then there wouldn’t be space in your heart to accommodate the love of the world.
Money, children, marriages can be likened to things of this world. When you love God more, you pay less attention to these things. Nothing will make you forsake your soul when you soul seeks and longs after God passionately.
2. Pray consistently with the name and blood of Jesus :
Even when war broke out in heaven {Rev 12:11}, the only way they could overcome the dragon {Devil} was through the blood of the Lamb.
There’s a prayer I pray consistently ;
“I overcome the works and agenda of devil and his agents over my life, family, marriage and finances by the blood of Jesus.
I nullify every curse, spell, enchantment and tongue that has risen against me and mine by the blood of Jesus.”
Pray these prayers and see the devil defeated over your life.
In summary, the devil’s ultimate goal is for man’s soul not to prosper and do not be ignorant of his devices {as listed above}. Love God and pray with the blood of JESUS often.
May we prosper, be in health even as our souls prosper in Jesus name, Amen.
