HOW I GOT MY NEW JOB

On the 5th of May, 2023, a message was sent to a religious youth platform seeking for the position of a website manager, writer and graphic designer. I only had little knowledge in graphics designing which I began learning a few months back.

A statement I remember saying was, “let Your will be done.”

To cut the long story short, I got the job. Some notable points to mention as to why I qualified for it are because:

It was God’s will

… A man can receive nothing unless it has been given to him from heaven.

John 3:27

My submission was quite early

I was asked to do a write up on the theme: Divine Direction and a graphic design describing the theme. The deadline for submission was the next seven days. By God’s grace, my entry was submitted exactly two days after the vacancy was posted. Two other people had applied, but they only submitted theirs on the expiry date. PS: I’ll soon share my write up .

I decided to be excellent

Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
Philippians 4:8 KJV

The process was stressful, honestly! I kept searching for a perfect background that explains Divine Direction, but getting a Bible verse wasn’t as annoying as fetching a design 😁😅. Then, it was about time I did the write up; although I had a main Bible verse to start with and subsequent ones for other points, I wondered what I would write about. I wanted to just do it anyhow and submit, but I remembered what a friend, Testimony, quoted: “in whatever you are doing, do your best”. I thank God for the Holy Spirit whom I asked for help and immediately I began writing. When I was done, I edited the fonts and sizes of the headings and content body. I wowed when I reread what I typed.

“In whatever you are doing, do your best.”
